Karen -I actually did stop taking the supplements on Saturday - I figured they sure weren't making me feel any better so why bother. The water intake I've cut in half. I had one day of relief from the crazy arrythmias, but they are back worse than ever. I had 3 in a row walking from my car to work this morning and one walking down the steps just a short while ago. They are longer in duration now and more frequent. I just can't figure out why and its so frustrating. They make me very lightheaded - I keep expecting to pass out, or worse, that they are not going to stop and I will just drop over dead. This new doc is going to get an earfull on Friday (if I live till then...). I don't want to hear "this is not life threatening and you'll be fine" crap. I want my life back and I want some answers. There just has to be some relief from this cause I can barely function anymore. You can't rest, you can barely work, you can't sleep. Sorry. Just need to vent - I know we are all in the same boat. I'm not coping well at all. Take care and thanks for being there. Lakota

Lakota, Have you considered that just maybe also the perscription drugs may be contributing to your current worsening of symptoms? I have found that on the rare occasions I take very low dose Temazepam for sleeping that my heartbeat is 'not as stable' the following day. Whatever is causing this present worsening of symptoms here's hoping you find good answers. Also, try chewing ginger(preferrably fresh) throughout the day-sure seems to pacify heartbeat. best wishes!

Oceana:Actually without the xanax, I am 100 times worse, including the Dilziapem. I quit taking the magnesium, B6 and CO-Q10 and have felt better and have lessened the water intake. I'm sure thats not the answer because my symptoms come and go seems like no matter what I try or try not to do. But I definately would not give up my meds. The cardiophysiologist I saw this past week told me that I would have to hold a gun to his head before he would perscribe me any anti-arrythmia meds. That tells me that he is not just out to make money. He said as uncomfortable as I feel, my arrythmia is not bad enough to require an anti-arrythmia med since the side effects can be very dangerous. He advised me to stay on the meds I am on now and to seek therapy so that I can learn how to deal with stress and my phobia of death. So that is what I am going to do. He said that no med will eliminate the palps, skips, flutters, ect., so it is best to learn how to live with them unless it comes to a life-or-death situation and meds, or surgery is required. So in one way I was relived and the other still scared (because I am still mentally where I was before I met with him). Just like all of us - when we are feeling our worst, life is no fun and so very hard to deal with. Thank goodness we have one another to lean on, talk to, and share our ups and downs. Thanks to all of you for always being there. Warm regards, Lakota
